About Us
Set between Nisiros’ volcanic ridges and the Aegean Sea, The Aloni Nisiros is our restored stone house in the quiet village of Nikia — a simple, story-filled place where people gather like an old Greek village circle. Here you can stay privately or join a seasonal retreat. Some guests sleep in our few cozy rooms, others in nearby village guesthouses — but every day we come together under the sun and stars to share meals, stories, and moments of reflection shaped by island life.
Aloni in Greek is an open, circular space in the countryside where people gathered to thresh wheat. It is a symbol of community, harvest, and cyclical connection with nature. The Aloni Nisiros stay or retreat project is created by Greek educator and PhD cand Eva Boleti—whose work spans arts and intercultural education across Europe, Asia, and Australia—the home reflects a commitment to place-based learning and heritage.
Whether resting, creating, or reconnecting, this is a place to return to.
